Asrorbek Jabborov

My dream is to become a strong specialist in mathematics and contribute to the global math community. I’m determined to walk this path with energy and dedication. I truly hope to be selected for this program — it would be a great honor and a perfect opportunity for me to dive into exciting mathematical problems and research.

My name is Asrorbek Chori ugli Jabborov, and ever since I was young, I’ve had a deep interest in solving mathematical problems, especially those from math olympiads. While studying at the lyceum, I won first place in the regional round of the 2017 National Math Olympiad by scoring the highest among the participants. That same year, I was also awarded the “Most Knowledgeable Student” in my field. I graduated from the lyceum in 2018 with a red diploma(honors) and was accepted on a government grant into the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at Karshi State University. During my university years, I kept participating in national and international math competitions. For example, in 2020, I was the winner of the National Math Olympiad among university students. That same year, I was awarded the Mirzo Ulugbek State Scholarship. In 2021, I won 3rd prize at the 28th International Mathematics Competition (IMC) for university students, and 2nd prize at the open math competition organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. I also received full grants to attend international scientific conferences and summer schools, which were very enriching experiences. I took every opportunity to learn from my professors, especially gaining valuable experience in conducting research. My growing interest in research led me to apply for a master’s program abroad. In 2023, I chose Novosibirsk State University in Russia, which ranks among the top 300 universities in the world. After graduating with honors from my bachelor’s program, I passed the entrance exam to NSU with a high score and was accepted into the master’s program on a full scholarship. During my master’s studies, I again had the chance to take part in many international competitions, scientific and practical conferences, and summer school programs. I was also recognized as one of the talented students at NSU. Thanks to my strong academic performance and research work, I was awarded several scholarships and full grants. In 2025, I became a winner of the International Open Doors Mathematics Olympiad, which provides the opportunity to study for a PhD in Russia. I also took part in the 63rd International Scientific Conference for Students at NSU, where my presentation earned a third-degree diploma. In July 2025, I successfully participated in the “Great Mathematical Workshop- 2025” program. Together with my academic advisor, Professor Dmitry Leonidovich Tkachev, I worked on a research project involving spectral problems of fluid flow in cylindrical channels. This became the basis of my master’s thesis, which I successfully defended. Right now, we’re preparing our results for publication in high-indexed scientific journals. I recently graduated from NSU with honors and earned my master’s degree. My strong passion for math and research drives me to pursue a PhD.
