ABOUT ME
My work
I received a presidential grant to pursue my higher education studies in the UK in 1999. I obtained my MSci ( Mathematics ) and PhD ( Statistics ) degrees from Imperial College London, United Kingdom, in 2004 and 2007 respectively. I went on to work as a postdoctoral research fellow at Imperial College London on graphical modelling for brain connectivity via partial coherence, on an EPSRC funded multidisciplinary neuroscience and statistics project. I collaborated with a team of neuroscientists to analyze and study neuro-physical data of medically diagnosed schizophrenic patients.
After an experience as a researcher in a world renown financial company in London, I returned to Algeria to become a Statistics lecturer at University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene, Algiers (USTHB) until 2022. I joined the MSTD laboratory where I lead a research team on time series data analysis with interest in developing statistical tools for physical and scientific applications in particular in the areas of neurophysics and astrophysics.
