ABOUT ME
Educational Background and Interest in Mathematics
I completed my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from a college affiliated with Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology. I have always been a dedicated student with a strong aptitude for mathematical reasoning.
My interest in mathematics deepened during a trip to a park with my Differential Geometry professor, who showed how the motion of a swing can be explained using curvature and torsion. This changed the way I viewed mathematics and inspired me to explore how it underpins many areas of science and technology.
Discovery of IMM
Coming from a small city in Pakistan, I had never heard of the International Master in Mathematics (IMM) program. While applying for the MS Mathematics program at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), I was shortlisted for an interview and discovered that the faculty were selecting candidates for IMM. Alhamdulillah, I was selected, becoming the first student from my region to join the program.
IMM Experience
My first semester was challenging, as I entered a completely new academic environment with two international and one local professor. With hard work and guidance from my professors, I adapted and learned how to approach advanced mathematical problems effectively. While I still have much to learn, I am confident that the coming semesters will bring even more growth and opportunities.

My ambition
I see IMM as an opportunity to explore different areas of mathematics and discover my true academic interests. While my path is still taking shape, I am determined to work hard, remain dedicated, and make the most of every opportunity, leaving a meaningful mark through my work.
I want to engineer a mathematical legacy that remains a foundation for future generations
Accomplishments
I secured a top position in my region, Bahawalpur Board, during my FSc (Pre-Engineering). I was selected by the Pakistan Science Foundation under the Science Talent Farming Scheme, where I worked on a research report on Chaikin’s Corner Cutting Scheme.
As part of this fully sponsored trip to Islamabad, I explored the scientific work being done in Pakistan and met several eminent scientists. Visiting the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission was especially significant, as such opportunities are rare for Pakistani students.
Finally, I am proud to be the first student from my region to be selected for the IMM program at LUMS, marking a major milestone in my academic journey.
