ABOUT ME
My work
I am a postgraduate diploma student in mathematics at ICTP with a 4 year mathematics degree prior to it. I am a lifelong learner and wish to continue my journey in mathematics with a PhD/MS as the next natural step. Primarily, I am interested in analysis and topology.
Background
At ICTP in the first semester, I took courses in real and complex analysis, algebra, and topology, which deepened my understanding. In the second semester, I developed a keen interest in dynamical systems and algebraic topology. I appreciate how dynamical systems provide a fresh view of analysis, which led me to pursue research in the field. ICTP’s vibrant research environment and faculty guidance have helped shape my interests.
Beyond my academic journey, I have overcome societal and financial challenges as a girl pursuing mathematics in a developing country. I tutored privately to support my education and also secured various scholarships. Teaching mathematics at a high school after my bachelor’s degree strengthened both my teaching skills and passion for the subject. These experiences have made me determined to challenge stereotypes and inspire young girls to pursue STEM.

Social Entrepreneurship Workshop Held at the University of Peshawar in collaboration with UNDP (Nov 2020).
Quantum with String Diagrams Workshop By qPakistan 7-day program.
Workshop on the graphical formalism of monoidal categories and applications in quantum theory: Seminar on Fundamental Groups of Quasi-Projective Varieties Organized by ICTP. Explored algebraic geometry.
Professional Development. Participated in a 2-day workshop on Induction Course for Teachers at The Educators School (5th–6th Jan 2024).
Gained knowledge in teaching strategies, classroom management, and collaborative learning techniques.
Community Service Program: Participated in the University CSP (Dec 2021). Contributed to food distribution for underprivileged communities, enhancing teamwork and social responsibility.
