ABOUT ME

Educational Background and Interest in Mathematics:

I became interested in mathematics from a very young age, fascinated by its logical structure and problem-solving aspects. This early interest motivated me to delve deeper into the subject, leading me to pursue higher education in mathematics. I completed my B.Sc. (2 years) in mathematics at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan, and my M.Sc. (2 years) in applied mathematics at the University of the Punjab, Pakistan. This comprehensive four-year program, equivalent to a bachelor's degree, provided me with a robust foundation in various mathematical concepts and theories, solidifying my passion and expertise in the field.

MORE INFORMATION

Discovery of IMM:

I learned about the International Mathematics Master (IMM) program from a friend who shared an advertising with me. My friend, knowing my strong interest in mathematics and desire to pursue higher studies, saw an advertising for the IMM program and believed it would be a great fit for me. The advertising highlighted COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore campus unique relationship with the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy. The extensive marketing described the unique curriculum, the opportunity to learn from prominent international teachers, and the emphasis on preparing students for high-level research and academic positions. This information resonated with me since I was seeking for a curriculum that would give a good foundation in advanced mathematics and open options for the future.

IMM Experience:

I got the opportunity to participate in the International Mathematics Master (IMM) program from September 2019 to 2021. My time at IMM was tremendously enlightening, thanks to the effective courses and great teachers. One of the notable classes I attended was "Advanced Differential Geometry," taught by Professor Marco Abate of the University of Pisa. His informative and detailed teaching method helped students comprehend the complicated ideas of differential geometry. This course was crucial to many aspects of current mathematics and theoretical physics, and it greatly expanded my knowledge and skills. Another notable subject was "Complex Analysis," taught by two famous professors: Professor Francesco Pediconi, Alberto Abbondandolo and Professor Gabriele Benedetti. Their lectures were well-organized and informative, including technical information about complex functions, analytic continuation, and Riemann surfaces. The combination of their knowledge and teaching methods made this course very interesting and enlightening. I also had the opportunity to work on my master's thesis in complex analysis under the supervision of Professor Fabrizio Bianchi from Lille University. His mentorship was invaluable in guiding my research and deepening my understanding of advanced topics in complex analysis. His support and expertise were crucial in the successful completion of my thesis.

Professional Goals:

My long-term professional goals are centered around becoming a researcher and advancing the field of mathematics through innovative research. I aim to pursue a Ph.D. in Numerical Analysis to deepen my expertise and contribute original research to the field. Following my Ph.D., I aspire to continue my career as a researcher in academia or a research institution, publishing high-quality papers and presenting my findings at international conferences. I am passionate about teaching and mentoring and plan to inspire and guide the next generation of mathematicians as a professor. Additionally, I aim to establish international collaborations, work on practical applications of numerical analysis, and engage in interdisciplinary research to address complex real-world problems. Through these endeavors, I hope to make significant contributions to mathematical sciences and have a lasting impact on both academia and industry.

Key Accomplishments:

I am particularly proud of several professional and personal achievements that have shaped my academic and career trajectory. Completing my master's thesis under the supervision of Professor Francesco Dell’Accio, focused on "Constrained Mock-Chebyshev Least Squares Quadrature," was a significant milestone in my research journey. Successfully completing the M2 dual degree program in Mathematics, Modeling, and Simulation at the University of Pau, France, alongside my Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at Università della Calabria, Italy, is another accomplishment that enriched my expertise and provided invaluable international exposure. Graduating with a final grade of 104/110 from Università della Calabria and receiving the prestigious Erasmus exchange program scholarship further reflect my dedication and academic excellence. Participating in conferences and seminars, such as the "Thinking Mathematically and Problem-Solving Seminar" by Professor John H. Mason from Oxford University, has been instrumental in enhancing my knowledge and network within the mathematical community. Additionally, having my research work submitted for publication, specifically on the "Influence of Coriolis Force on Casson Nanofluid Subject to Darcy-Forchheimer Drag and Lorentz Force: Thermal Analysis for the Case of Two-Phase Fluid," showcases my ability to conduct significant research and contribute to scientific literature. These achievements collectively underscore my commitment to advancing in the field of mathematics and my aspiration to become a researcher.
