A minimum of 16 years of education leading to a degree Programme is required for applying. Since the IMM-LUMS Programme is in English, fluency in speaking and writing is an essential qualification.
As a minimum academic performance, all applicants must have a CGPA of at least 2.8 (on a scale of 4) or at least 70% marks for the last university degree.
NOTE:
Applicants completing their last degree by July 30, 2023, are eligible to apply for MS Programme if they are meeting minimum admission requirements at the time of application submission.

Applicants to the IMM-LUMS Programme must take the online admission test to be considered for Fall 2023 admission. The admissions test is divided into two sections:
● IMM-LUMS Graduate Assessment Test
● IMM-LUMS Subject Test
NOTE:
IMM-LUMS Graduate Admission Test consists of Quantitative, Verbal, and Analytical sections.
Exemption for applicants who have taken Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test:
Applicants who have taken the Graduate Record Examination GRE (General) (through the Educational Testing Service USA) during the last two (2) years (i.e., after May 07, 2021) and obtained an aggregate score of 300 in the quantitative and verbal sections may choose not to take the IMM-LUMS Admission Test.
Applicants who have taken the GRE Subject Test in Mathematics (through the Educational Testing Service USA) during the last two (2) years (i.e., after May 07, 2021) and obtained a score at the 60th percentile or above may choose not to take the IMM-LUMS Subject Test.

Shortlisted applications will be reviewed by the relevant committee to finalize the admission decision. Applicants are encouraged to provide complete information regarding their academic achievement, research reports, attended workshops, extracurricular activities, and must tell IMM-LUMS about their success stories in order to substantiate their applications. Applicants must provide complete and correct information regarding their academics, work experience and test attempts. The application will be evaluated on the basis of information provided at the time of application submission.

To study at LUMS, foreign nationals must obtain a "study visa” from the Pakistani Embassy or Consulate working in their country. The Pakistani Embassy/Consulate will only issue a study visa for students' stay at LUMS upon receipt of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan's "No Objection Certificate,” and clearance from the Ministry of Interior, Pakistan.
Admission Criteria for International Mathematics Master (IMM-LUMS) Programme
Applicants must meet the minimum eligibility criteria to be considered for admission to the Programme. The International Mathematics Master (IMM-LUMS) Programme at the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE) is a two-year Programme.
Admission is purely merit-based and rests solely on the following criteria:
● Academic Record;
● Performance in Admission Tests;
● Application Review;
● Interview Performance (if shortlisted);
● Letters of Recommendation; and
● Submission of complete Online Application and supporting documents by the stipulated deadline
NOTE: These are the minimum criteria applicants need to fulfill to be eligible to apply. Fulfillment of these criteria does not guarantee admission to IMM-LUMS.
