From an early age, the world of numbers and equations held a special allure for me. Mathematics was not just a subject; it was a language that spoke to my soul effortlessly. With the encouragement of my teachers and my innate competitive spirit, I excelled in this field, effortlessly navigating even the toughest of exams. It was in high school when I realized the boundless potential that lay within me for unraveling the mysteries of mathematics.

As my passion for the subject deepened, Mr. Kaleem Ashraf, one of my high school teachers, recognized my potential and provided me with challenging problems to solve. Without the need for extensive practice or jotting down solutions, I found myself understanding complex concepts with ease. This self-discovery ignited a flame within me, propelling me towards a journey of academic excellence.

After completing my Bachelor’s degree with double mathematics, it was Mr. Abdul Basit who encouraged me to explore opportunities beyond my hometown. Following his advice, I applied to various universities in Islamabad and Lahore. Fate led me to Government College University Lahore (GCU), where I was greeted with a world of wonder. The faculty at GCU was not just remarkable but inspiring, guiding me towards greater heights.

Then came a serendipitous encounter with the IMM Program at COMSATS University Lahore. Initially, I stumbled upon it accidentally, but as I delved deeper, I discovered the program’s uniqueness. IMM was not just about international faculty; it was a gateway to a world of possibilities, providing fully-funded opportunities in pure mathematics. This revelation convinced me to take this fortuitous path, and I never looked back.

My journey within IMM was nothing short of extraordinary, filled with countless memories that will forever be etched in my heart. Learning the basics of analysis with Shoaib and Daan, solving Rubik’s cubes using algebraic methods with Dileta and Giovanni, exploring advanced analysis with Jose, diving into functional analysis with Waleed and Alfonso, and unraveling the beauty of dynamical systems with Melkior and Stefano - each experience left an indelible mark on my intellectual growth.

But IMM was not just about academic pursuits; it was about forming lifelong connections and sharing laughter with a vibrant community of students and teachers. From showcasing our rich cultural heritage to exploring the historical gems of Lahore, we shared unforgettable moments together, strengthening the bonds of friendship and camaraderie.

As an IMM media manager, I take pride in contributing to the program by managing the Facebook page, updating the latest events, and keeping the community connected. This role allows me to give back to the program that has given me so much and to inspire the next generation of aspiring mathematicians.

The IMM program and its alumni family have been instrumental in shaping my vision for the future. Their experiences abroad and the exposure they gained motivated me to seek further opportunities beyond borders. Today, I stand at the threshold of an exciting new chapter, armed with knowledge and determination to explore uncharted territories.

Throughout my journey, I have been profoundly influenced by the remarkable faculty at IMM, each contributing uniquely to my growth. Their guidance and support have played a pivotal role in my achievements, and for that, I am forever grateful.

As I step into the unknown realms of academia, I am excited to explore new frontiers in mathematics. My journey thus far has taught me that mathematics knows no boundaries; it is a universal language that transcends borders and cultures. My aspiration is not only to excel in my field but also to contribute to the growth of mathematics education and research in Pakistan.
