ABOUT ME

Educational Background and Interest in Mathematics:

My interest in mathematics was sparked by two exceptional teachers during my school years—one in 7th grade and another in 10th grade. Their passion and dedication inspired me to pursue mathematics continuously. I completed my undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Government College University (GCU) Lahore, one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in Pakistan. Following my graduation, I enrolled in the International Mathematics Master (IMM) program

MORE INFORMATION

Discovery of IMM:

I discovered the IMM program through an advertisement shared on WhatsApp by one of my seniors. Prior to IMM, there was only one program in Pakistan that offered free education along with a stipend. Coming from a modest financial background, I was seeking a program that would support me financially. Additionally, the presence of international faculty was a significant advantage. These factors motivated me to try my luck and apply to the IMM program.

IMM Experience:

My experience at IMM was transformative, as it was my first time studying under international faculty. I participated in the program from 2019-2021. One of the standout courses was Differential Geometry, taught by Marco Abate, who conducted an open book exam that was particularly memorable. Douglas Coates, a long-term tutor, and Fabrizio, a short-term tutor, made the course engaging and enriching. I also recall Michel Jambu, who taught Algebraic Topology. His dedication to teaching at an advanced age was truly inspiring. The Qualitative Theory of ODE's was another notable course, instructed by Mark Roberts, Sergey Tikhomirov, and Yulia Petrova. Sahibzada Waleed and Alfonso Sorrentino provided excellent guidance in Functional Analysis. The Mathematical Analysis course was led by EMANUEL, Jose M. Conde, and Alexandra, each contributing to a thorough understanding of the subject. Commutative Algebra was taught by Sarfraz, Lothar Gottsche, and Volkmar Welker, with Angela Tabiri serving as the tutor. Lastly, Complex Analysis was covered by Alberto, Daniele Angella, Gabriele Benedetti, and Francesco Pediconi. Their collective expertise and teaching styles made my time at IMM both challenging and rewarding.

Professional Goals:

After completing my PhD, I aim to secure a postdoctoral position in Europe or the USA to continue my research work. My long-term goal is to contribute significantly to the field of mathematics through innovative research and to collaborate with leading experts in the discipline.

Key Accomplishments:

Certainly. I graduated as the top student in my Bachelor's program in Mathematics, earning a Gold Medal for my achievement. Securing a position in the IMM program was also a significant milestone, and achieving the first position there was another proud moment. Receiving a fully funded scholarship to study in France and then securing one of only three fully funded PhD positions in Pakistan upon my return were further accomplishments that I am particularly proud of.
