Mathematics has always been my favorite subject from elementary school. However, after obtaining a National Diploma in Computer Science, and waiting to get admission to get a Bachelor's degree in the same course, I had to go full time into teaching Mathematics at the High School level which was when I realized how much I enjoyed doing/teaching mathematics than any other thing which was why I decided to apply for a degree in the University of Ibadan, Ibadan Nigeria after about four years of teaching.

After my undergraduate studies, I enrolled for a virtual mentorship scheme organized by MFANO Africa in conjunction with the Mathematics Institute at Oxford University while applying for different masters program across Africa and the US. It was during this scheme I met(virtually) Prof. Diletta Martinelli who was my assigned mentor on a mini project. She recommended the IMM program and encouraged me to apply which I did, one of the best decisions I have made in my journey.

It was an incredible learning experience all through at IMM. It was not the usual teacher-student I had known before IMM, all the professors and instructors were always friendly and ready to help us not just with the "how" but the "why" behind many core mathematics concepts which greatly improved my thinking and problem-solving skills. I participated in the 2022-2022 and 2022-2023 academic sessions and although I learnt a lot in all the courses, I particularly enjoyed the Algebra courses and then Differential Geometry, a field in which I did my master's research project under the supervision of both Prof. Daniele Angella and Dr. Giovanni Placini.
