Maniru Ibrahim
I grew up in Sokoto, Nigeria and completed my BSc with honours at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto before joining IMM Pakistan.
I see Mathematics as always says ’Critical thought for critical minds’. Mathematics is the bedrock of science and technology, and without mathematics everything will collapse. Mathematics has always been my passion and something that I think will make me big one day.
I choose IMM program because of my passion to Mathematics and my zeal to contribute immensely to scientific research, I decide to pursue postgraduate studies in Mathematics and I feel that the IMM program is the right program for me, due to my trust and confident for ICTP and CUI and also from suggestion from my parents, friends and Dr. A. I. Garba of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
I expect to meet with world leading mathematicians in various fields and learn how to conduct original and qualitative researches, and share what I learned with my country to increase the quality of research in it.
I have finished first semester and I passed it. The program is well-organized, the courses are interesting and the study scheduled is rigorous. I have learned a lot in the program.
I think this masters will provide me knowledge and skills of conduction important and qualitative research and sharing this with other researchers in my country.
I want to be a professional research scientist and a teacher. I am interested in international studies and job opportunities. I definitely believe that the knowledge and experience I will get from this program will help my career.
