The past three weeks at IMM Algeria have been intense, rewarding, and filled with moments of learning, curiosity, and exchange. Our students engaged deeply with advanced topics under the guidance of exceptional professors who travelled from Italy, Chile, and the UK to support this program.
We extend our sincere gratitude to:
• Laura Geatti – University of Rome Tor Vergata
• Letterio Gatto – Politecnico di Torino
• Kevin Webster – Imperial College London
• Marco Abate – University of Pisa
• Cristian González-Riquelme – Centre de Recerca Matemàtica
for their dedication, their enthusiasm for teaching, and the invaluable experience they shared with our students throughout these weeks.
And this did not stop to the classroom!
IMM Algeria students and teachers spent an enriching afternoon together at the beautiful Palais des Rais and enjoyed a delightful cultural journey to the Bardo National Museum in the heart of Algiers, where they discovered the rich historic heritage of Algeria.
This adds up to a great start at Algiers thanks to the visits and the local coordination work to enable and welcome distinguished professors from five universities around the world :
- Peter Steverhagen – Leiden University
- Paolo Piccione – University of São Paulo
- Andrea Iannuzzi – University of Rome II
- Francois Berteloot – University of Toulouse
- Karma Dajani – Utrecht University
They shared their expertise in topics such as Complex Analysis, Commutative Algebra, Lorentzian Geometry, and Probability Theory, creating enriching interactions and inspiring discussions with IMM Algeria students.
